TRAPPING EXCURSION

This is your opportunity to come and spend ten days with a Western long line varmit trapper. You will spend ten full days checking and setting traps along with the occasional stand of calling. You will learn how to set and maintain a long trap line for bobcats, coyotes, gray fox, and badger. In addition you will also be taught the art of skinning and stretching and preparing the skins for market. The trapper is a professional. He will have from 40 to 200 sets in the ground at any one time. He will be setting new traps and pulling old ones. This is truly an experience in the Western heritage of trapping. These excursions take place in December, January, and February, the coldest time of winter, so bring warm clothing. Any fur that you wish to keep will be sold at market value.

Rates: 10 days - $1,750.
